RE:
Convocation to the XXVI International Congress of the IAP
September 16-21, 2006 in Montréal, Canada
Dear
Colleague,
It is
with great pleasure that I invite you to attend the XXVI International Congress
of the International Academy of Pathology in Montréal, Québec,
Canada that will be held in Montreal from Saturday, September 16th to
Thursday September 21st, 2006. This Congress will mark the 100th
anniversary of the Academy and offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the
past, present and future of pathology and of our organization. As host of this
important international event, the United States ˇV Canadian Division of the
Academy (USCAP) is proud to offer a scientific program of the highest calibre,
including approximately 100 sessions led by over four hundred internationally
renowned speakers. You will be able to choose from 60 symposia (included in the
registration fee), 15 short courses, 22 slide seminars and 3 long courses. More
than 20 subspecialties will be represented.
Because this
will be a special time in the Academyˇ¦s history, several special projects are
being developed. A museum similar to those at our beginning will be open at the
Congress site for you to visit. Everyone will be invited to participate in the
creation of a Time Capsule which will be opened at the 200th
International Congress of the IAP in 2106. The 100th
anniversary Congress will also be an opportunity to meet representatives of
numerous suppliers, including companies and enterprises without which an event
of this magnitude could not take place. Finally, an interesting social program
will offer participants the chance to meet with colleagues from around the world
while enjoying the unique attractions of the beautiful city of Montréal.
I look forward
to seeing you at the Palais des Congrès/Montréal Convention Centre
for this prestigious international gathering. For any questions concerning
registration, abstract submission, housing, activities or presentations, I
invite you to visit the Congress website at www.iap2006.com
or contact us at info@iap2006.com.
Best
regards,
Dr.
